Social bookmarking

Social bookmarking can help teachers because we are always in a hurry when we’re looking for good materials. So we can bookmark a good website and check it later.
Having bookmarking as a social activity is very nice because we can not only help ourselves but also other teachers and students.
I can share some important grammar rules and exercises and my students can do them at home, whenever they think it’s useful for them.
It’s always difficult to start something new, but once you start, you get to learn little by little and soon it’s part of your life. So it’s worth it trying!!
There are a lot of interesting materials, but I thought this one is good to be shared:

The use of digital tools for unlocking creativity & producing digital content.

I've noticed that more and more students are getting motivated by learning through technology.
We have to improve our knowledge and give them the opportunity to learn a language in many different ways.
Once students create digital content, they become commited to what they created and they will always try to get some feedback from what they did. This is a different way of learning a language, because they will try to do their best.
An important drawback is related to shy students. There are some students that have great difficulty in exposing themselves.
I think this kind of activity is better when teachers have just a few students at the same time. Otherwise it's difficult for the teacher to have an effective control of it.

Hello!

Hello, everyone!
We are starting a blog to further engage our students and give you an additional tool in your English learning journey!

We will post weekly tips, tricks and fun facts, include helpful links, and English learning related material.

We hope you enjoy it!

In our first post, we'd like to address a very common request from our students - how can I improve my pronunciation skills?

Pronunciation is a key aspect of your English skills, and is equally important to beginner and advanced students!! Maybe you are just beginning to learn English and would like to get ahead of the pronunciation issues. Maybe you are an advanced student with great grammar, but still stumbles when pronouncing certain words... Fear not!!

Englishclub is a great resource. Their pronunciation section is one of our favorites!

They not only provide you an audio file for each word, but they also have great quizzes!!!

Another great pronunciation resource is http://www.learnenglishfeelgood.com/listening/index.html

We would like to start this first blog post with an interactive question for our students. Which word do you struggle the most to pronounce??
